CYC Information

Hi All

For those of you who did not make it to Canton on Sunday below is a letter with information for New York.

We are exited about this weekend and know that all of our players will do their best and represent Boston and the ISYL in the best manner.

Good luck to everyone and we hope you have a wonderful experience and enjoy being together as a group. We have worked really hard this year so let's bring home some nice awards.

If you have a chance try and see some of the other age groups that are playing and let's cheer all of our teams onto victory

Ellen

Below is some helpful information on how to get to Long Island.  Most of you might be interested in the Ferry Service.

AIRPORTS
Four major airports are within easy reach of all our facilities and hotels. John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is located on the Queens side of the Nassau/Queens border, while LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is just to its north. MacArthur Airport (ISP) is located mid-island, directly to our east. All are located near a network of parkways and the Long Island Expressway, providing quick and direct access to any location in Nassau County. In addition, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), located in New Jersey, is within 45 minutes of Nassau County.

RAIL
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) runs scheduled service throughout all of Nassau County, directly connecting to Manhattan’s Pennsylvania Station, which in turn has rail service throughout the country. Of course, Penn Station (as locals call it) is a stop on virtually every city subway line. Air Train JFK links the Howard Beach and the Sutphin Boulevard subway stations, and LIRR's Jamaica Station directly to JFK. And just like the subway, Air Train runs 24/7.Depending on hotels the LIRR lines which run closest are the Port Jefferson Line and the Ronkonkoma line.

FERRY SERVICE
The Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Ferry   connecting to Bridgeport, CT across Long Island Sound and the Cross Sound Ferry, connecting Orient Point Long Island to New London, CT offer daily round-trip service.
